Introduction
AEdocs unifies the After Effects expression reference and scripting guide from docsforadobe into one modern Fumadocs site — same content, better reading experience.
Welcome to AEdocs — a single, modern home for After Effects expressions and scripting documentation.
The source material comes from docsforadobe, who maintain two excellent but separate mkdocs sites: one for the expression reference and one for the scripting guide. Both are great references, but mkdocs' Material theme has always felt a bit dated, and bouncing between two separate sites to look things up got old. So this rebuilds both into Fumadocs — same content, restyled and merged into one searchable, unified docs tree.
Fumadocs also happens to support optional AI-friendly extras, like per-page llms.txt/markdown exports and "Open in ChatGPT / Claude" actions. They're opt-in, not the default reading experience — there if you want to feed a page to an LLM, easy to ignore otherwise.

Credits & Attribution
docsforadobe is an independent, unofficial community project, not an Adobe product. Its two repositories, after-effects-expression-reference and after-effects-scripting-guide, remain the source of truth; AEdocs only re-renders and re-styles that content into Fumadocs for a nicer reading experience, without rewriting, reinterpreting, or adding to it.
